He began as a youth trainer and coordinator at Host Broadcast Services (HBS), an organization known for filming major sporting events. His dedication and expertise led him to obtain official coaching qualifications, enabling him to work alongside his wife, Sarina Wiegman, during her tenure with the Netherlands women’s national football team.

    Marten and Sarina’s relationship spans over two decades, marked by mutual support and shared interests. The couple has two daughters, Sacha and Lauren, both of whom have shown an interest in football. Lauren has played for the youth ADO Den Haag team, while Sacha has been associated with Sports Club Monster.
