    In 2012, Stokoe gained recognition for his role as Alex in the Channel 4 series Misfits. Following this success, he took on the character of Gerard Eyre in the BBC series The Village (2013–2014), further cementing his status as a rising star.

    Stokoe’s versatility became evident through his varied roles. In 2016, he played Captain Marcheaux in the BBC’s The Musketeers, delivering a compelling performance as a complex antagonist. From 2017 to 2019, he starred as James Read in Sky 1’s Jamestown, depicting the challenges of early settlers in America. His role as crime boss Luke Aikens in the 2018 thriller Bodyguard showcased his ability to embody intense and multifaceted characters.

    Expanding his repertoire, Stokoe ventured into film and voice acting. He appeared in the 2018 historical drama Outlaw King and lent his voice to characters in video games, including Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker (2021).

    Matt Stokoe Personal Life: Family and Marriage

    In his personal life, Stokoe shares a partnership with actress Sophie Rundle. The couple met on the set of Jamestown and announced their engagement in 2019. They welcomed their first child, a son named Henry, in 2021. In June 2024, they celebrated the arrival of their second son, sharing the joyous news with fans.

    Recent Projects and Upcoming Work

    In 2023, Stokoe took on the challenging role of Raoul Moat in the ITV miniseries The Hunt for Raoul Moat, delivering a performance that garnered critical acclaim. He also starred alongside Sophie Rundle in the ITV drama After the Flood, portraying Detective Pat Holman. The series received positive reviews, leading to its renewal for a second season, with production set to begin in early 2025.
